Research Center: I took these photos at a nearby University of Michigan Facility. I believe it was for research and sciences, but don't quote me on that. These pictures are photos of one of the many entrances inside the building. To be truthful, first of all, I'm not sure they really wanted me taking pictures there, so that was a struggle, trying to be "secretive". Secondly, I took these photos, at first, because I was searching for random buildings to shoot. But, when I approached it, I thought the design of it was really cool and mysterious. I wish I could've taken a picture of the whole building, but trees, cars, and lampposts got in the way. Even if they didn't, I doubt I could get far enough away get the whole building in view. I tried to make this building look pretty normal compared to other buildings, but also odd, seeing how the lot was empty and the windows darkened.
Old Shack: These are photos I took of an odd, old building I saw walking down the street. It looked quite mysterious and creepy, because it was surrounded by rocks and mud, and it was next to normal apartments. It looked very out of place. Again, like the place above, I wasn't sure if I was allowed to be there, but there wasn't any sign saying so and no one tried to stop me, so I think I'm good. I chose this building because it seemed like a good place to test out how to do my blueprint, and that it looked seriously out of place. I tried to make the building look like a casual, everyday building, which was surprisingly difficult, seeing how the weather was horrible along with the lighting.
Clague Middle School: I took these photos of Clague Middle School. Fun fact: Last year, I went there for my middle school! That's the main reason I took these photos. But I also took them to see what Clague would be like without all the students running around. It was pretty creepy, to be honest. While I was here, my camera lens got quite dirty, and I have no idea how to clean it. I tried my best, and considering, I think I took some nice, average photos. I tried to make these photos mysterious. Not creepy-mysterious, but more like interesting-mysterious, if that makes sense.
Apartment Entrance: I took pictures of this entrance because I thought it looked interesting. I thought that because it's elevated like some sort of bridge. I would've taken photos underneath it and to the side of it, but I wasn't sure if I was allowed to... I see now that this might be an ongoing theme in this photoshoot... Anyways, a difficulty was trying not to have the trees in front be my focus. If there was a person watching me from the front desk, they must've thought I was crazy, because I was jumping all over the place, from the stones below the trees to a car-stopped in the parking lot. It was very energetic. I'm not very sure what I was trying to convey through my photos, if anything at all. I was just trying to find good spots to shoot the entrance and tried to make it look pretty in Photoshop.
Behind Kroger: By this location title, you might think I was running on fumes by the end of this. I just don't want to use "Alleyway" because that just sounds creepy and sketchy. I took photos here to see what I could do with them in Photoshop. If I could make them beautiful, horrendous, exemplary, ect. I'm not quite sure what I ended up with, but I like it. One major struggle I had with all of these was making them into blueprints. I got lost several times, and I'm not sure that these blueprints are how they're supposed to look, but either way, I really like how they turned out.
